Anti-Poverty Week BBQs in Daylesford

Last week Table Hill enjoyed adding music to two BBQ nights during Anti-Poverty Week in Daylesford.  Members of the community gathered for meals and fellowship, and to bring awareness to poverty in Australia and overseas.

Daylesford Spring Folk & Blues Festival, 13 October, 2012

Table Hill performed at 1 p.m. at the third annual Daylesford Spring Folk & Blues Festival. Afterward, Adrian and Phil demonstrated instruments in the vendors' area which was located in the Senior Citizens Center of the Daylesford Town Hall.

Today was a beautiful day to play at the Wombat Hill House Cafe!  It was exciting to be a part of the cafe's first birthday celebration, and we look forward to many more of these good days to come!

The Music of Table Hill

Adrian Kosky, Carla Maxwell, and Phil McNamara make up the music of Table Hill and have performed regularly at the Radio Springs Hotel in Lyonville for the past two years.  (Miss Jelly Bean occasionally makes a guest poodle appearance at some of their gigs.)  Table Hill's music is made with a variety of unusual instruments, like the strumstick, bowed saw, and mountain dulcimer, just to name a few.  

Table Hill also performs and teaches workshops in Daylesford at Tasma House.  Recently Table Hill performed a house concert with hands-on music instruction/entertainment for a group of executives who were staying at Tasma House for a motivational retreat.
